FACE UP is the monthly magazine (Redemptorist Commuications) for young people who want something deeper-and that’s what it provides. FACE UP began publishing in January 2001 and is aimed at the 14-18 year-old age group.
Each issue of FACE UP informs and entertains on personal development, social awareness, spirituality and justice issues. The magazine also contains many of the normal ingredients of teen magazines including features on current trends, fashion and media personalities.
During the summer of 2010, the SERVE volunteers that were working on projects in Brazil, India, Thailand, South Africa, Mozambique and Zambia were asked to compile stories of the people they met, and to highlight the plight of “teens in poverty” in those countries. These articles would then be published by FACE UP in each monthly edition from September 2010 – June 2011.
