Solidarity Gift Progress

In October 2009 SERVE launched a range of Solidarity Gifts; Meaningful gifts that could be purchased here in Ireland for the benefit of SERVE's projects in the developing world. The purchase of a solidarity gift created a "double dividend" - The gifts would benefit local families and communities, and the gifts would be purchased locally, to also support the local economy.
The gifts range includes school uniforms and school bags, food and medicine, education support, employment creation, water provision, housing..... see the gifts here (Solidarity Gift catalogue). This summer the SERVE volunteers have met the individuals and the communities that have benefitted from the purchase of these gifts.
